Little Sunday Reading.....

You can listen to an interview that Albert Hawkins did with Texas Public Policy Foundation ... if you can stomach it. Click HERE.

I hate to give DabJab any traffic- but you have to read this article and the comments that are there as well.......HERE is where you'll go for that.

I listed to it. Why do they compare welfare to banking online? I just don't get it. It is not the same. It doesn't compare to us doing our time and leave on line. On banking, there is nothing to verify. How many times have you tried to do something on line and it be down and call the bank and they tell you to come in and they will help you? You can't even do everything at the drive thru either. This is disgusting...

One of his comments on deciding to go private was the employees efficiency. Are we that bad? He said the private sector could do it more efficiently.

I'm sorry but the banking online anology just threw me. When you bank, do you not WANT to have human interaction????? After all, that's your money! So using that anology would our clients not also desire HUMAN interaction - not calling 211 and being put on hold, put off or completely ignored??

The whole time I listened to Albert "answer" questions, I kept thinking about Charles Durning's role as the Governor of Texas in the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas - oooooo, I love to dance a little sidestep, now you see me now you don't, I've come and gone. . .
